Churmuri, also known as Bhel Puri, is a popular Indian street food snack. It is a savory mixture of puffed rice, chopped vegetables, tangy tamarind chutney, spicy green chutney, and various crunchy toppings. Churmuri is commonly enjoyed as a light and flavorful snack in India, especially in the regions of Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Ingredients:
  • 4 cups puffed rice
  • 1 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup finely chopped cucumber
  • 1 cup boiled and cubed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tablespoons tamarind chutney
  • 2 tablespoons green chutney
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional toppings: Sev (crispy chickpea flour noodles)
  • Finely chopped green chillies
  • Sliced lemon for garnish

Instructions:
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the puffed rice, chopped onions, tomatoes, cucumber, boiled potatoes, roasted peanuts, and coriander leaves.
  2. Add tamarind chutney and green chutney to the mixture. Start with smaller amounts and adjust according to your taste preferences.
  3. Sprinkle chaat masala and salt over the mixture. Toss everything together gently to ensure an even coating.
  4. Taste the Churmuri and adjust the seasonings or chutney quantities as needed.
  5. Serve the Churmuri immediately in bowls or plates.
  6. If desired, you can add additional toppings like sev, finely chopped green chillies, and a squeeze of lemon juice on top for added flavour.
